Benn started  Feltheimer Cohn & Associates based on 30 years of money management and business development experience.Prior to forming Feltheimer Cohn & Associates in 2009, Mr. Feltheimer worked on a wealth management team at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith and began his investment career with First Investors Corporation, where as Senior Vice-President, he managed a sales force of over 1,100 advisors in 47 locations.   Chicago Magazine has recognized Mr. Feltheimer as a “Top 5 Star Wealth Manager in Chicago” in 10 of the last 11 years, including each year between 2022 and 2016, as well as from 2012-2014. These rankings reflect Benn's sustained high level of client trust and confidence*. His licenses include:  Series 6, 7, 63, 65, life insurance, and variable annuity.  

He is designated as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® by the College of Financial Planning.  Benn has been engaged in philanthropy throughout his career.  He currently serves as Vice Chair and member of the executive committee of Jewish Child and Family Services, a $40 million social services agency based in Chicago. 



Avra joined Feltheimer Cohn & Associates, Inc. in 2009 with 30 years of money management experience, as well as 18 years in corporate management. Avra works with new client acquisition and specializes in individual and corporate retirement plans. She has been the featured speaker at client seminars as well as corporate conferences. Avra holds series 6, 7, 26, 63, 99 variable annuity and life insurance licenses.

Prior to joining Feltheimer Cohn & Associates, Inc.,  Avra worked as an Independent Registered Representative of Securities America, Inc. Previously, Avra served  as Vice President of  First Investors Corporation where she was responsible for opening several branch offices and supervising the training of over 100 managers and advisors.



For years, Richard E. Winer, CPA, has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to local individuals and businesses. His expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits and financial statements.

Mr. Winer owns one of the leading CPA firms on Chicago's North Shore and has worked with Benn Feltheimer and Avra Cohn for over 20 years. By combining his expertise, experience with a team mentality, he assures that every client receives the close analysis and attention they deserve. His dedicates himself to high standards in order to help clients maintain financial viability in the present, while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. This includes open communication to reach a better understanding of clients' needs through research and sound analysis. His dedication to hard work has earned the respect of the business and financial community in and around the Chicago area.

Larry is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries.  Prior to forming The Benefits Consulting Group, Larry has held the position of Chief Actuary for a national benefits consulting firm and a major life insurance company specializing in the employee benefits marketplace.

The Benefits Consulting Group assists employers in all matters relating to qualified retirement plans.  They provide Feltheimer Cohn & Associates clients with all services necessary for the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of 401(k), Profit Sharing, and Defined Benefit plans.





Tim joined Feltheimer Cohn & Associates with 30 years of experience in supply chain management.  As an analyst and planner for Solo Cup, Uline, and Quill Corporation, Tim was responsible for statistical forecasting, planning and distribution of merchandise across multiple product lines.

Native to Chicago, he holds an undergraduate degree in business from Western Illinois University and an MBA from DeVry University.  Tim has been active in local philanthropic social services throughout his career.





Tom is a part of the Advisor Consulting desk for Advisors Asset Management.  He has 33 years of experience in the securities industry and has been with AAM since 2005.  He holds the series 7, 66, 24, and 53 licenses.  He currently assists Feltheimer Cohn & Associates with selecting, researching, and purchasing appropriate corporate and municipal bonds based on our specific client needs.

Rod began his career in the financial services industry with a Mutual Life Insurance Company in private practice.  He is the point person for successful integration and collaboration between Financial Planning Practices and client estate planning and wealth management needs.  Rod helps Feltheimer Cohn &  Associates clients resolve potential asset management  and estate planning concerns through the non-traditional use of insurance and insurance-based concepts.
